Education Conference 2019

To implement the functions and tasks prescribed in the Law on Organization of the National Assembly, as approved by the National Assembly's leaders, the National Assembly's Committee for Culture, Education, Youth and Children (CCE) organized the first Viet Nam Education Conference with the topic "Quality in General Education" on 22 September 2017 and the second one with the theme "Higher Education - Standardization and Integration" on 20 August 2018. The conferences have indeed become policy forums, where delegates provided clear and accountable contributions, with a shared commitment to build a Vietnamese education that provided the basis for the country development keeping up with the region and the world.
Following the success of Viet Nam Education Conference in 2017 and 2018, the CCE coordinates with the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) to organize the 2019 Vietnam Education Conference with the theme "Developing vocational education and training (VET) in the context of growth model renovation and international integration".
- To foster an open and constructive dialogue and discussions on recommendations for VET development in Vietnam among National Assembly delegates, international and domestic experts and researchers, teachers, managers in the VET sector;
- To create a policy sharing and communication channel among National Assembly delegates, on the one hand stimulating the social interests and responsibilities for VET issues, on the other hand, bringing the ideas and suggestions of the society on VET closer to policy makers;
- To support the CCE in developing the data sources for doing research, monitoring and proposing VET policies and legal regulations, particularly for improving VET Law 2014.
The Conference is focused on the following topics:
- Discussions and analysis on the current state of VET in Vietnam;
- Discussions to clarify perspectives and orientation on VET innovation, focusing on:
+ Institution in VET sector;
+ Enterprises and VET;
+ Quality in VET in the context of international integration;
- Recommendations for changes in policies and legal regulations creating legal framework for VET innovation in Vietnam.
- The conference will be set up in a way that engages interaction between panelists and participants.
- In addition to the opening and closing sessions, the conference will have 01 discussion session on general issues and 3 discussion sessions on specific topics. Each discussion will be allocated from 3 to 5 keynote speakers and one moderator.
- After the presentations, there will be a facilitated discussion on the relevant topic of each session.
- Languages used during the conference: Vietnamese and English (cabin interpreting service is provided).

- Communications organizations.
